Fragment Challenge|Finding oneself

    Something about the air out on the far side of the farm always felt like pure magic. Sterling didn't know if it was the wind coming off the mountains, the clouds that seemed to call down to him, or the open space, but before he knew it he was running. The bay mustang ran till he couldn't feel the grass beneath his hooves and the cold mountain air coursed through his very being. He felt in touch with something out here, something magic that called out into the world,and he whinnied loud into the wind in an attempt to let it out. He stood there at the fence and suddenly felt another presence with him the answered his magic's call. Sterling turned to greet the newcomer and felt the hot burn of tears in his eyes, he didn't even notice the newly sprouted wings on his back that had arrived with her. 
"Mom!"

I may come back later and make that a bit more coherent but we shall see! It almost midnight writing this up but I gotta upload it before the 5th lol

Sterling didn't even really know he was a Nazmei until he was three or four. His mother had told him they were special horses but never elaborated more than that, until one night when there was just enough magic in the air to jump start his wings. His mother hears his call and projects herself there to congratulate her son on finding his true self ^^ (I wish i knew what SterlingIRL's mama looked like but I haven't been able to find any pictures of his herd that year, so I improvised)
